Richard is a professional artist specialising in fine portraiture. Born in Cardiff but living most of his early years in Derbyshire. Richard studied life drawing at St Martin's School of Art. 

In 2013 his portrait of Emeli Sande was chosen for exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery, as part of the BP Portrait Awards
